A festive way to give back this holiday season.
We're sitting at our usual Wednesday morning watering hole, enjoying (hot) beverages and breakfast goodies, and discussing how to give back to our clients and reach a wider audience this December. (In this scenario, the water is coffee and the hole is Folklore.) Typically, we send a gift basket to our clients and a cheerful e-card to all of our contacts coupled with a custom built landing page. As expected, we had to top last year's campaign—if you missed our 2014 gif(t), check it out here.
Eventually, we agreed on a theme: giving. Maybe we were anticipating turkey dinner—as a vegetarian who's gone without poultry for almost three years, I was really craving that bird—or maybe we realized how our commerce obsessed country actually behaves during the holidays. After much debating, we settled on a charity campaign in which we will collect donations for three causes—Toys for Tots, Meals on Wheels, and Habitat for Humanity—and add presents under our office Christmas tree as people contribute.
If you're feeling the urge to help out those in need this year, visit our page at www.treethatgives.com to donate and keep an eye on our tree as presents fill the empty space.
